The British Shorthorn Blue Cat has more developed muscles and bones, a short and fat neck to match its broad shoulders, a round and broad head, a bun-shaped face, two ears that are closer together and a short, dense fluffy coat that is textured to the touch. The eyes are round and large, both eyes are wide and flat in position and the tail is about two thirds of the body with a thick tail root and thin tail tip.
