How to choose a good Caucasian

1. Muzzle: The muzzle is half as short as the head, but the bite is strong and tapered towards the nose. The top line of the skull is parallel to the top line of the muzzle. The blunt end consists of thick, dry lips and a strong lower jaw. The colour of the lip margin is black.2. Teeth:The teeth are neat, evenly distributed, complete and white clipped. The teeth are long and large. 3. Nose: The nose is large, wide and black, white or yellow coated and can have a brown nose. 4. Eyes: The eyes are brown, medium sized, oval, slightly slanted and have deep sunken eye sockets. Ears: Uncut, high at the base of the ears, triangular in shape and close to the head. The outer edge of the ear must lie below the eye. The ears may be cut in a “shepherd’s dog shape”. The ears move horizontally, close to the head. 6. Neck: Short, strong neck, at an angle of 30-40 degrees to the back line. The length of the neck, from the rear occipital bone to the shoulder, must equal the length of the head.7. Feet: The forefeet are large, oval, arched, firm and compactly toed.8. Tail: The root of the tail is high, constantly tailed, with a thick, tapering root. When at rest the tail extends to the hock. 9. Colour: The following colours and markings are acceptable, dark grey light grey, silver grey, slight red or yellow with or without white patches. White, cream, light fawn, teal or red-teal, fawn with or without white patches.
