Dogs do not sweat as much as people do, they can only expel most of their heat through their mouths by breathing quickly and a little through the sweat glands of their feet, so it is vital to keep your dog cool. Heatstroke in dogs can be life-threatening, with clinical signs such as panting, slow movement, weakness and dizziness, and loss of consciousness.
