It is an innate instinct for cats to use cat litter. Kittens can slowly learn to use litter after their mother at around 30 days. Kittens are active by nature and if the owner does not guide them, they may spread the litter everywhere. Many cats are very fussy about their litter, and if the texture and smell are not good, they would rather urinate in another place.
