How often should a dog be bathed?

Under normal circumstances, depending on the circumstances your dog can be bathed once every 7-10 days or so in summer, once every 2 weeks or so in the cooler spring and autumn months, and the bathing cycle can be extended to around 20-25 days in the colder winter months. Frequent bathing is not a good idea, as it tends to destroy the oil layer that protects the dog’s coat, making it more susceptible to parasitic infections and skin diseases.
