The teacup dog breed was bred in captivity and not many offspring were bred because of the difficulties of production. This has caused the price of the Teacup to remain high, making it cruel for those who want this breed but are not too well off financially, and there is nothing wrong with wanting the cheapest Teacup available. However, it is generally not advisable to buy one, as cheap is not good enough. The cheap teacups are basically either odd looking or physically flawed, and the subsequent costs can be even higher. Either buy a healthy one to begin with or choose another breed of dog. Generally speaking, teacups of good character start at $10,000, although $1,000 or $2,000 are certainly available.
