If the cat is shaved in a scientific way without damaging the hair follicles, new hair will usually grow within a month after shaving. If the shaving process is rough or severely damages the cat’s hair follicles, no new hair will grow later. As a rule, shaving your cat is not recommended as the cat’s coat serves to protect the skin. Blindly picking your cat’s hair can easily lead to skin damage or secondary to certain skin diseases.
