Dog deworming medication mainly works through the sebaceous glands, so dogs can generally be bathed after a week or so of deworming, and some of the worms have not been killed within a week of bathing, which dilutes the concentration of the medication. After a week the deworming medication has basically worked and the adult worms have been killed. After that, the dog should be dewormed once a month and once every three months to ensure that it is healthy.
