Quite an intelligent breed with a direct, bold, but non-hostile personality. Seemingly more aloof, not so easy to approach and build friendships with. The breeder must pay careful attention to the white Swiss Shepherd, which is a very active animal, both mentally and physically. It is capable of handling any kind of work. The ideal White Swiss Shepherd would be a hard-to-buy working dog, with a body build and gait that would allow it to perform very difficult tasks, exactly the same structure as a German Shepherd, and a personality that is very much like, and slightly more sensitive than, a German Shepherd.
