The Great Dane is obedient, loyal, intelligent, alert and has excellent obedience and execution skills. The Great Dane is submissive to its family, wary of strangers and should be kept on a lead when out and about. This dog is also relatively easy to train and needs plenty of outdoor exercise, and long periods of solitude can make them more sensitive in character.
