Dogs with white nematodes in the eyes

This is a zoonotic disease called canine ophthalmopathy and conjunctival aspiration nematode disease, which is parasitic in the conjunctival sacs and subconjunctival membranes of cats and dogs, and is a milky white, tiny nematode. Flies are the intermediate hosts for transmission. The incidence is higher in dogs than in other animals. In mild cases, patients experience itching, a foreign body sensation, redness and pain in the eye, and in severe cases, this can lead to intraocular infection and even blindness. It is important to wash your hands after touching and playing with dogs and cats. This disease is usually caused by rubbing your hands together after touching a dog or cat and you can easily get infected by rubbing your eyes with your hands.
