Dogs’ precursors to giving birth

Dogs generally take around 58-62 days to become pregnant, but the time of birth varies from individual to individual and owners need to judge whether their dog is close to giving birth based on its behavioural behaviour. In the days leading up to labour, dogs may experience a drop in body temperature, loss of appetite, frequent urination and irritability.
