Bacteria are everywhere, so they can be found on dogs, even in the air, where they are very small and not visible to the naked eye. There is no need to be overly alarmed by the presence of bacteria, as both humans and animals have well-established body immune systems that can be primed to sterilise when resistance is not abnormal.
