Thick, sturdy and slightly chubby, weighing up to 7kg as an adult, the Calt has broad shoulders and chest, muscular, strong and powerful limbs, and walks with an elegant gait, with the male cat having a stronger gait than the female. The coat is blue-grey and flexible, with silvery tips, and the fur is thick and soft and waterproof. The head is slightly large and irregularly quadrangular, with a pair of bulging cheeks, a straight nose and high ears, a prominent upper and lower jaw, and round, bright golden or orange eyes that contrast beautifully with the blue of the body coat.
