Canine Distemper Test

To test for distemper, it is recommended that you take your dog to the vet for diagnosis. There are two common diagnostic methods, test paper and pcr. The test paper involves taking secretions from the animal’s eyes, nose and mouth, fusing them with reagents and taking 3-5 drops for test paper testing, with two horizontal bars indicating infection. pcr is more accurate and requires standard laboratory testing.
