Can dogs eat soft seeded pomegranates?

Dogs should not eat soft seeded pomegranates or regular pomegranates. Pomegranate seeds contain cyanide and are rich in tannins, ellagic and anthocyanin acids, which are difficult for dogs to break down. In most cases, therefore, eating a pomegranate will cause stomach pains and even diarrhoea and vomiting in dogs.
