There is no research or clinical evidence to prove that feline distemper can be transmitted to dogs, but as they are both pathogens, both belong to a type of microvirus, they are potentially infectious; if a kitten is found to have feline distemper at home, it is recommended that it is kept in isolation and the home is properly disinfected.
