The three main bloodsucking insects commonly found in dogs are lice, fleas and ticks. Bloodsuckers not only feed on your dog’s blood but also spread blood diseases. If the bloodsucking insects found on your dog are ticks, it is advisable to take your dog to the vet for extraction to avoid inflammation from residual mouthparts if you do not do it properly. Deworming should be done during the day to avoid parasitic infections outside the body.
