The dogs sold in the general pet market are not guaranteed in terms of pedigree and quality, and most are bred by kennel dog dealers. There is no pedigree certificate to prove the pedigree and origin of the dog, and health is difficult to guarantee, so even though there are not many black Labradors, the price is not very high, basically around $1,000 to $2,000. The number of black Labradors in itself is scarce and the price is high, so if you come across a dog for a small few hundred dollars, you must be careful and see if it is a sick dog. This is when the dog dealer is desperate to get the sick dog out of the market and the price will be particularly low.
