The advantages of the French poodle include: a docile personality, a high level of alertness, loyalty and a love of being close to people, and the fact that it is usually quiet and does not growl. The coat is easy to care for and does not shed easily. Disadvantages: not very intelligent and difficult to train. The nasal passage is relatively short and may be more prone to respiratory disease than other dogs. Snores a lot when sleeping.
