Dog breeds that do not grow hair include the Chinese Crested, Mexican Hairless and Peruvian Hairless. The Chinese Crested has only a small amount of hair on its head and no hair on its body. It has a crown of hair on the top of its head, much like the hats of Qing Dynasty officials, hence its name. The Mexican Hairless has no hair on its body and will sweat in the summer heat. The Peruvian Hairless is also very small in size and has no extra hair on its body except for a few hairs on its head, paws and tail.
