Lost dogs will generally hide in the bushes near where they were lost, such as parks, neighborhood woods or flower beds. It is also very likely that they will run to a quiet, dark building for the night, while a few of the more intelligent dogs will go in the direction of home based on their memories and markings, and can even run straight back to their home neighborhood to wait for their owners. Dogs lost will try to remember the direction of home, and even run to their own home near. The more intelligent dogs, but also along their own play left mark (such as urine stains) to find the location of home, a long time, it is likely to run straight home near waiting for the owner to find.
