Purebred poodles are basically solid colors, with many different kinds of colors such as black, brown, white, gray, champagne, coffee, and apricot, respectively. The most classic of these are black and white, and they can often be seen in dog competitions. The reddish brown, on the other hand, is the most popular coat color, as it makes it extremely similar to the look of a teddy bear. Although the poodle is the national dog of France, its origins are actually unclear. There is a common belief that the white Poodle is mostly from France, the brown is from Germany, the black is a product of the former Soviet Union, and the light brown is more from Italy, so the Poodle has developed dozens of coat colors through many generations of change and integration, and less commonly there are creams and greys.
