Differences in body size Bichon: Bichon has shorter, sturdier legs and looks a little rounder. The Bichon Frise is 1/4 longer than the height, rectangular in shape, and the Bichon puppy is a little smaller than the Teddy puppy. Teddy: Teddy has longer legs, is equal in height and is square in shape. As puppies, Teddy puppies are slightly larger than Bichon puppies. Differences in Coat Bichon Frise: The Bichon Frise’s coat is softer and denser, with a silky feel to the touch. The Bichon Frise’s coat is curlier from a young age and can be described as naturally curly, while the Bichon is usually only white. Teddy: The Teddy’s coat is wavy and rougher than the Bichon’s, and the young Teddy’s coat is relatively straight. Teddy is more colorful, but also fades easily.
Differences in features Bichon: The Bichon’s eyes are round, with the outside of the eye and the end of the nose forming a triangle, and look larger than the Teddy’s.
