The Akita puppy has an inverted triangular head and tight teeth. The eyes and ears are also triangular in shape, the eyes are dark brown in color, the nose is well defined, the nose is black, and one pair of ears is kept upright. In contrast, if the Akita has a flat nose, is not black enough, has folded ears, or has an overly prominent upper and lower jaw of the mouth, it will not be of good character. From the point of view of the Akita’s temperament, the Akita with good character will give people a muscular, tall and powerful feeling, while the length and height are in a certain ratio, respectively ten to nine for males and eleven to nine for females. If an Akita looks thin and walks without poise, it has a bad character. From the tail point of view, a good quality Akita’s tail is large and full, curled toward the back, and the tail tip is positioned below or horizontal to the back. If the Akita’s tail is sickle-shaped or not curled, it will not be of good quality. In addition, a purebred Akita has front and hind limbs in a straight line and has thick padded feet with toes pointed forward.
