The gestation cycle of a Corgi is approximately 63 days from the date of successful mating and fertilization. Pregnancy reactions occur about a week after mating, as evidenced by rapid contractions of the dog’s pubic area. At 3 to 4 weeks of pregnancy, the Corgi’s breasts will become large and the nipples will be peachy. After the 4th week of pregnancy, a small egg-sized placenta can be felt on the dog’s abdomen, and the dog will slowly show signs of being more lazy and fussy. When the dog is close to 60 days pregnant, the dog’s mood will change significantly, appearing anxious, fidgety, will have non-stop scratching the floor, mat and other behaviors.
