The Pomeranian has fox bloodlines. The Pomeranian is a compact, short-backed, active pleasure dog, scientifically known as the Hadorian Pomeranian (commonly known as the English Pomeranian), and is a type of German fox dog, native to Germany. The German Foxhound is the descendant of the Stone Age “peat dog” and later the foxhound of the lake dweller, so it is said that there is fox blood in the pedigree. The Pomeranian’s head is quite short, with a broad, flat skull cap shaped like a fox’s head. The eyes are medium-sized, bronze, slightly oval, with moderately spaced black orbits. The end of the nose is thin and wedge-shaped, and the nose is the same color as the coat. The ears are small, closely spaced, mostly erect, like those of a fox. The chest is thick and the body is compact. The front legs are straight and parallel to each other.
