Pug dogs are not easy to breed and can be difficult to train. They usually have a larger than normal appetite and are very prone to overeating, often resulting in indigestion due to an overburdened stomach. The pug’s own unruly personality also makes them not easily tamed by their owners. With their short coats, pugs are extremely susceptible to bacterial infections on their epidermis and require frequent cleaning to stay healthy. And improper handling can cause considerable damage to the Pug, and can seriously damage the skin. Therefore, pugs are more likely to suffer from skin diseases than medium or long-haired dogs.
