The initial clinical signs of fungus are hair loss and dander formation, well-defined focal or multifocal patches of infected skin, and later pustules, papules and skin oozing and crusting. The Corgi’s damp environment and lack of hygiene, the Corgi’s moist skin surface and low lung function can lead to skin disease. Fungi and parasites like to breed in this environment and these parasites can live in the Corgi’s skin and cause skin problems in the Corgi.
