It may also cause acute encephalomyelitis and fluid in the brain. Typically, distemper and microcephaly are the two diseases that pose the greatest risk to dogs. They are also mandatory for immunization. The rest of the diseases can be selected according to the local situation. In addition to the combination vaccine, there are many single vaccines that are only for certain diseases. All brands of rabies vaccines are separate single vaccines. So after immunizing with the combination vaccine, don’t forget to get the rabies single vaccine. Theoretically, it is recommended to use a single vaccine of the same brand as the combined vaccine. Weikia is a special monoclonal vaccine for microviruses. The pet is a single vaccine specifically for leptospirosis. Pfizer / Zoetis was originally the animal health division of Pfizer, but in 2012 Pfizer split the animal health business into a separate company named “Zoetis”, and its vaccine brand is Weijia. Customarily, the vaccines of Shuoteng are still marketed as “Pfizer Weijia X”. VANGUARD® PLUS 5-CVL protects dogs against eight infectious diseases, commonly known as the eight doses. VANGUARD® PLUS 5 protects against 5 infectious diseases, commonly known as V-CVL. VANGUARD® PLUS CPV is a single vaccine against canine microviral disease. Rabic® (RABVAC® 3) Rabies monoclonal vaccine for dogs, cats and horses. Intervet / Merck Sharp & Dohme Netherlands Intervet was once the largest vaccine brand in China, and in 2013 Intervet was acquired by Merck Sharp & Dohme in the US. It has now changed its name to Merzadone Animal Health. Its vaccine brand is Petrify. The vaccines we often refer to as diphthong and quadruple vaccines are from Mercer. Nobivac® Lepto is a bivalent inactivated vaccine for canine leptospirosis (canine, jaundiced blood-letting type). Nobivac® DHPPi live vaccine against four infectious diseases. It is commonly known as Quadruple vaccine. Nobivac® Puppy DP live diphtheria and microvirus vaccine. Commonly known as Puppy DP. A vaccine that is generally used only for puppies exposed to distemper or microcephaly at 4 weeks of age. Nobivac® Rabies inactivated rabies vaccine for dogs and cats. Merial / Boehringer Ingelheim Merial, France, was acquired by Boehringer Ingelheim as its animal health unit in 2017. Boehringer Ingelheim is the largest privately owned pharmaceutical company in the world, with 95% of its business being human pharmaceuticals. It feels like the animal health unit is not taken seriously within Boehringer Ingelheim. The domestic official website does not even have information about the vaccine. The Merial vaccines in the past were Uricon and Rebecon, which are the six-way vaccine and rabies vaccine. Since there is no information about the vaccine on the Chinese official website, I checked the English website and there are only Rabisin® and Recombitek®, two brands. The English information is for the U.S. market, which may differ from the domestic market, and Recombitek® is a vaccine series that provides protection against 12 diseases.
