Four moves to teach you to clean your cat’s ear wax, you must use it!

Pooper scoopers know that cats like to be clean and they are able to clean the back of their ears and inside their ears on their own by grooming their fur, but sometimes cats also need the help of their owners to clean their ears. Frequent inspection of the cat’s ears can detect diseases hiding in them in time so as not to cause harm to the cat’s health. How to wash your cat’s ears 1. Frequent removal of ear hair is required. 2. Fill the ear canal with a large amount of ear wash water, let the cat’s head tilt to the opposite side so that more ear wash water can be filled, and when the ear wash water is about to overflow, snap the ear canal with the auricle. The same method is used for the opposite ear canal. 3. Massage the ear canal for a few seconds and then release the animal and let it shake its head so that the mixture of ear wax and ear wash water is excluded. Wipe off the dirt on the ear with a paper towel to complete the ear wash. 4. If medication is needed to treat ear disease, it should be applied 30 minutes after the ear wash. Ways to remove ear dirt 1. Let your cat lie down comfortably. Let it relax and don’t be nervous, because some cats (such as the middle part) hate it when people clean their ears and can produce defiant behavior. If your cat does not cooperate, you can wrap it in a towel to keep its limbs immobile. 2. Use a liquid cleaner to clean your cat’s ears. It is recommended to buy liquid cleaners because they are non-irritating, easy to dry, and much easier and faster to use. You can buy the cleaner from your veterinarian or from a trusted pet store. 3、Put a few drops of cleaning solution into the cat’s ear. The right amount of cleaner should be dropped into the cat’s ear, little by little. Then rub the cat’s ear gently to let the cleaner penetrate. Be gentle and strong when rubbing the root of the ear, do not rub so hard that you hurt the cat’s eardrum. What you need to do is to pull out the ear dirt, not rub it deep into the ear. 4. Give your cat time alone. After giving your cat the cleaning solution, let your cat be alone for a few minutes, and afterwards let your cat shake its head hard to shake the dirt out. 5. Reward your cat. After cleaning your cat’s ear wax, you can give them some snacks or cuddle them. Doing so will help your cat to be more cooperative the next time you clean their ears. Be careful to avoid using cotton swabs to reach directly into its vertical ear canal, and be careful to be gentle and not press too hard.
