There are several types of sled dogs

1. husky husky personality is variable, some very timid, some very violent, into our family husky, are no longer such extreme character, generally is more docile, is a popular pet dog around the world. When the Alaskan Sled Dog stands, the head is erect and the eyes look alert and curious, giving the impression of being energetic and very arrogant. The head is broad and the ears are triangular in shape and remain erect when alert. The muzzle is large, tapering in width from the root to the tip of the nose, and the muzzle is neither long and prominent nor short. The coat is dense and the coat is long enough to protect the inner soft undercoat. 3. Samoyed Samoyed is a pack animal by nature and in the snow there is always a head Samoyed leading the pack and will dominate and govern them. They have a strong sense of domain and are used to marking their “sphere of influence” with urine.4. Greenlandic DogThe Greenlandic Dog was domesticated from a wolf in Siberia about 12,000 years ago, but today it is difficult to see the wolf in the Greenlandic Dog. The Canadian Eskimo is a Canadian dog of Canadian origin, and has been used for thousands of years as a means of transportation for the Inuit, carrying goods and pulling sleds. It has an extremely similar appearance to the Greenlandic dog, but is slightly shorter and lighter in weight. The breed’s name is arguably a misnomer, as it is not descended from the Eskimo. 6. Chinook Chinook The historical breeder of the Chinook was Arthur Walton, bred by crossing the Eskimo, the short-haired St. Bernard and the Belgian Shepherd. As a traditional fluffy dog, the Chinook is better suited for work, especially sled pulling. There are less than 200 surviving dogs.7. Northern InuitThe Northern Inuit originated in England. This dog is said to come from the ancient language of the Chinook tribe, and it means “spirit of the wolf”. This dog is a breed bred from a litter of German Shepherds, Alaskans, Malamutes and Huskies. 8. The Hwa Tae Dog The Hwa Tae Dog is originally from Japan. It has a more pointed mouth and looks similar to the Japanese Akita. The dog’s fame comes from a Japanese Antarctic research activity. 1957 Japan established the country’s first research station in Antarctica, “Showa Base”, and 15 birta dogs were transported, but were abandoned in Antarctica when the personnel were evacuated. A year later the team returned to Antarctica and two of the dogs survived.
