The wet liquid on a dog’s nose is saliva and snot from the dog’s nose because the dog is always licking his nose. The nasal fluid transmits odor molecules and gives the dog a sense of smell. Also a wet dog nose means that the dog is healthier. A healthy dog’s nose should be moist as well as cold, so if a dog has a dry nose performance, it could indicate a health-related problem in the dog’s body.
