Most adult Teddy’s will come into heat 2-3 times a year, but due to slow development and other physical factors there will be some Teddy’s that come into heat for the first time at one and a half years of age, the number of times a dog comes into heat each year will decrease year by year as they get older. It is important to note that it is not advisable to breed a dog when the Teddy is in heat for the first time, as the Teddy is not yet physically mature and is not conducive to dog pregnancy.
