For ringworm in dogs’ ears, topical application of a topical spray containing terbinafine is recommended. Before applying the medication, you need to treat the infected area and clean up any excess crusts and dirt, which will allow the medication to work better. Keep using the medication until the affected area grows hair and there is no more fungus. Ringworm in dogs is highly contagious and can be transmitted to other dogs as well as to their owners. Therefore, when a dog is found to have ringworm, the owner needs to immediately quarantine the dog and keep the dog in a separate cage from other dogs. The dog’s food bowl, water bowl and anything else should also be kept separate from other dogs’ to avoid other dogs getting ringworm.
