Fleas in dogs are caused by improper feeding conditions and failure to do regular in vitro deworming. Failure to deworm the dog regularly can lead to fleas on the dog. Secondly, owners who do not clean their homes regularly and do not bathe their dogs regularly will also increase the chances of their dogs getting fleas. Dogs infected with fleas will have small black dots on their fur, which are flea eggs. Adult fleas feed on blood and can cause irritability and gnawing of the dog’s skin, causing non-specific dermatitis. Severely infected dogs can become anemic and regular in vitro deworming is recommended for dogs. Use canine-specific in vitro deworming medication for deworming, as well as disinfecting the home environment and not bathing your dog while using deworming medication.
