Although dogs can eat crab, it is not advisable to eat a lot of it. The rich protein and trace elements in crab can promote the growth of your dog, but crab is cold in nature, and eating large amounts can cause discomfort in your dog. When eating, peel the shell in advance to prevent scratching; by adding ginger water to boil, you can neutralize the coolness and dilute the salt to reduce the burden on your dog’s body. If the dog is allowed to chew the crab directly, the hard shell will scratch the dog’s mouth and intestines, and even cause the dog to have a life-threatening condition. So, peel off the shell of the crab for your dog before he eats it.
