Deworming your cat should pay attention to the following aspects: If it is in vitro deworming: Firstly, bathe your cat before deworming and no bathing for three days after deworming. Secondly, an Elizabethan collar should be worn to prevent accidents if the cat licks it. Thirdly, the use of a flea removal collar is not recommended. It is more harmful to cats. In case of internal deworming: Firstly, the dosage of the deworming medicine should be according to the instructions or follow the medical advice. Secondly, internal deworming should be carried out 3-4 hours after the cat has eaten its food and fast for 5 or 6 hours after feeding the deworming medicine to ensure the effectiveness of the medicine. Thirdly, pay attention to the cat’s faeces after deworming. A few days after deworming, there will usually be dead parasites and eggs excreted with the stool. Fourthly, observe the mental state of the cat after deworming. Some cats with a weak gut and poor constitution will show symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea, mental discomfort or even fever. Generally such symptoms will improve in 1-2 days and if there is any abnormality seek medical attention in time.
