What happens if a dog eats too much salt

Firstly, dogs that eat too much salt will develop a lot of tear stains and eye droppings. Secondly ingesting large amounts of salt can result in large amounts of hair loss which can lead to skin diseases. Thirdly, excessive salt intake can increase the metabolic load on the kidneys, leading to kidney failure and, in severe cases, death. Fourthly, dogs will become picky eaters and will no longer like to eat dog food.
