What are the painkillers for dogs

Commonly used pain medications for dogs are usually NSAIDs with antipyretic and analgesic properties. These medications achieve a reduction in pain response by selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase. An example is meloxicam tablets. This type of pain medication is not recommended for animals with gastrointestinal disorders and may increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulcers. They are also not recommended for animals with kidney disease and may aggravate kidney damage.
