The German Shepherd is a fine breed of dog and most police dogs will choose the German Shepherd, with the advantages of good obedience, greater stamina and safety for small children. The disadvantage is that it needs to have enough ground and enough exercise. It is recommended to do an assessment on hip development before purchasing and it would be better to learn some obedience subjects.
