The general management of poisoning includes: gastrointestinal decontamination, detoxification, pro-elimination and supportive therapy. Among these, gastrointestinal decontamination has been recommended in recent years with the use of gastrointestinal adsorbents (activated charcoal, etc.), catheterisation (mannitol, sorbitol, magnesium sulphate, etc.), whole bowel lavage and gastric lavage, which need to be chosen according to specific indications, and conventional emetics are no longer recommended. The main ways to promote the excretion of toxins are intensive diuresis, alkalinisation of urine, blood purification support, etc.
