Weimaraner size: males weigh between 30 and 40 kg and are between 59 and 70 cm tall at the shoulder. The female weighs between 25 and 35 kg and is between 57 and 65 cm tall at the shoulder. Weimaraner coat colour and care: grey longhair, shorthair, blue longhair, shorthair. The long-haired Weimaraner and the blue Weimaraner have not been seen in this country yet. The coat colour of the Weimaraner is unique to its breed. The same Weimaraner, photographed in different environments and lighting, will appear in different colours, and their coat will be oily in the sun. They are short-haired, heat tolerant, do not require frequent grooming and do not have a heavy body odour. Friends often ask if the Weimaraner can withstand the cold northern winters with such a short coat. Weimaraner owners in the north have noticed that the Weimaraner has developed a fleece inside its coat, which is probably a mutation of the species to adapt to its environment. I thought it would take at least one generation for a genetic mutation to occur, but if I didn’t know what I saw and heard, I wouldn’t believe it. The coat of the Weimaraner is very short, but very smooth and shiny, and is a solid colour, usually ranging from mouse grey to silver grey. It will normally be a little lighter on the head and ears, and on the chest is where small white markings can appear. Prices range from 1000-5000, more expensive if double pedigree.
