The main symptoms of rabies in cats are drooling, fear of light, cold, sound and water, and rabid cats possess strong aggression and show disregard for their owners. At the same time, rabid cats may show unconscious behavioural confusion, a slight breathing sound similar to a grunt, and cats tend to be sleepy or hyperactive. In the advanced stage of rabies, the cat will also have difficulty breathing, foaming at the mouth, stiffness of the limbs and muscle spasms throughout the body, so you can confirm whether the cat is infected with the rabies virus based on the symptoms it exhibits.
