The survival rate for acute renal failure in cats cannot be estimated. If detected and treated early, a small percentage of cats can turn into chronic renal failure, and if care is taken at a later stage, they can still live for quite a long time or even years. If not treated promptly and aggressively, the average life expectancy is about a week.
