Prevention of Toxoplasma gondii in cats

First of all, make sure to take anti-Toxoplasma medication regularly. Toxoplasma is mostly transmitted in raw meat and faeces, and cats are the end host of Toxoplasma, which can easily infect people, so avoid cats eating raw meat and playing with their faeces or the faeces of other cats. If your cat is infected with Toxoplasma gondii, sulphonamide can be used to deworm the cat. Owners should try to wear gloves when cleaning the litter tray and be sure to wash their hands regularly after touching the cat’s utensils.
