How to make the most of a dog’s life

Dogs do need to be punished for making mistakes, but the punishment of standing is not feasible for them. A dog’s spine is well distributed to match its usual standing or walking position on all fours. However, prolonged standing on the hind limbs can increase the pressure on the spine, leading to herniated discs and narrowing of the lumbar intervertebral distances, which can compress the nerves in the spine and lead to paralysis. This is why puppy punishment is not recommended!
