The “fire” on the front of the forehead is clearly connected to the face of a good quality, pure breed Husky. The Siberian Sled Dog is a medium-sized working dog with a quick, graceful gait. The body is compact, with a very thick coat, erect ears and a brush-like tail, showing the genetic characteristics of the northern regions. The gait is characteristic: smooth and effortless. His earliest role was as a cart puller and he is still very good at it, travelling considerable distances at moderate speeds when towing lighter loads. His body proportions and shape reflect the most basic balance of strength, speed and endurance. The male is well muscled but not rough in outline.
