How many types of sled dogs are there

There are 3 common species, Samoyed, Husky and Alaskan. The Samoyed, formerly known as the Samoyed Sheltie, is a medium-sized dog of this breed with a relatively thick coat. Next the Husky, although it is also medium sized, was selected as a sled dog due to its athleticism, energy and thick coat. Next is the Alaskan Sled Dog, which is a large dog with a relatively strong build, thick and powerful limbs and fast running speed.
