There is no clear incubation period for infectious peritonitis in cats. The cause of infectious peritonitis in cats is mainly due to the mutation of the coronavirus in the body and clinical signs will occur when the cat’s body resistance is reduced. Clinical signs of wet infectious peritonitis include pleural effusion, abdominal effusion, possible jaundice and dry infectious peritonitis may lead to some neurological signs.
